HERO CAN: Vávra Hradilek

Vávra was about to celebrate his 20 years since the first time he stepped into the kayak. Redbull wanted to make a video that would represent his journey. So they approached LIP Production because they worked together several times before and they had a great relationship.

The goal was to make a video that represents the greatest milestones in Vávra's life. Moments that influenced him, that shaped him as not only a professional athlete but as a person as well.

It took almost two months to get everything ready. We were going through a lot of archive footage and we were also looking to use old photos because there was not enough video material to work with when it came to Vávra's childhood.

David (the co-founder of LIP Production) also introduced me to Vávra and we've met with him several times, discussing what he wanted to see on the screen, especially because some of the moments were very personal to him and we wanted to tell it right.
